Founded in 2008,
Rooted in Sumatra
Nithya Boutique was founded in 2008 as a rattan furniture manufacturer and exporter based in Medan, North Sumatera, Indonesia. From our workshop in the heart of Sumatra's rattan country, we craft baskets, chairs, tables, and accessories — each piece shaped by hand, not machine.
We specialise in outdoor and indoor rattan furniture, with Manau Sumatera — one of the world's finest rattan species, grown in the forests of our own region — forming the backbone of our furniture frames. Our deep knowledge of rattan materials, furniture design, and manufacturing allows us to deliver pieces that are as durable as they are beautiful.

We work primarily with 100% natural rattan, and can accommodate custom orders to suit your specific design requirements — including synthetic rattan binding or weaving where preferred.
Premium Raw Materials
We source only the highest quality natural rattan, including Manau Sumatera, grown in the forests of North Sumatra — widely regarded as among the finest rattan in the world. By sourcing close to home, we control quality from forest to finished piece.
Sourced Directly from Farmers
Rattan farmers are our partners, not just our suppliers. We purchase raw materials directly from farmer cooperatives in the forest, processing everything ourselves to ensure consistent quality and fair livelihoods at the source.
100% Handcrafted
Every product we make is crafted entirely by hand by skilled artisans — which means every piece is unique. Most of our craftspeople have more than a decade of experience working with rattan, bringing an expertise to each weave that no machine can replicate.
